Below is a copy of the email we received directly from Cal South today, May 11. The 2020 Cal South National Cup has been canceled for U15-U18. There is still a chance they will be able to play the U19 age later this summer. For all the details, please, read below.

We hope this message finds you, your players, and their families are all safe and healthy during this COVID-19 pandemic.

After much deliberation, Cal South has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Cal South National Cup Olders tournament, effective immediately. The cancellation covers National Cup Olders boys and girls age groups from 15U to 18U. The 19U Boys and Girls teams will be given an opportunity to compete in their final National Cup tournament later this summer or request a refund. Additional 19U National Cup information and procedures will be sent to 19U teams next week.

Teams have the option to request a refund of their entry fee (minus an administrative fee of $115) or apply their full entry fee as a credit to the team’s entry in next year’s State Cup/National Cup. Note: the credit will be granted to cover next year’s entry fee in its entirety, regardless of the 2021 State Cup or National Cup division, or any entry fee increases.

Please select your option below and follow these next steps.

Option 1. Refund Request:

· The Head Coach or Team Manager must email refund requests in writing to nationalcupinfo@calsouth.com.

· Include your current 2020 National Cup Team Name, and Team ID Number in your email.

· 19U teams must request a refund as soon as possible. Additional 19U National Cup information and procedures will be sent to 19U teams next week.

· Refund checks will be sent to the party that made the payment.

Option 2. Credit Request:

· The Head Coach or Team Manager must email refund requests in writing to nationalcupinfo@calsouth.com for your entry fee refund.

· Include your current National Cup Team Name, and Team ID Number in your email. We will use your ID number and team roster for team credit verification next year.

· A credit confirmation will be emailed within 2-3 weeks.
